Ghosts of HK

Hey, there's the second part of my last year trip
It'll go more wild and spiritual, because : island and temple !

This is Lamma Island, perfect if you're tired of the crowd, there are great walk ! It's like half an hour from Central by ferry :) You'll have an awesome sight of hong kong if you come back at night. (be careful, the last boat is at 11pm.)

The day I shoot these, the weather was super clear and sunny :)

Well sometimes, it looks a bit like a jungle
Fishermans' houses

At the end of may starts the celebration of the goddess of sea,
mostly on island (like Lamma or Cheung Chau) and there also some in Aberdeen if I'm not wrong.
Boats with flags and gifts come to thank the goddess of sea.
There's also lion dancers and chinese opera :)
I didn't stay long enough to see it, but mid-june there are dragon boat races,
my mum told me that it was pretty impressive !

Lion and gifts (and crowd XD)
Funky fun Lamma island for the celebration

I had visited some temple that time,
It worth to see many of it as the atmosphere is pretty different each time :)

This temple is on Cheung Chau Island,
definitly pretty with the colorful sculpture made from enamel sheet.
I advise you to have some "tofu fa" on the island, it's a sugary light tofu,
and with fruit and some ice cream it's awesome.
It's one of the rare food that can be really called dessert (chinese restaurant are lies) for european palate XD (Emma was not a huge fan of the "dessert" soup you usually got, and I must admit it's WEIRD when you're not used to these tastes)

This is Pak Tai temple in Central.
If you have some kind of probleme with incense, avoid this place.
Aside the incense, this temple is awesome, especially for pictures.

My silly face before using ribbon wish for money and health, money worked good but,

to my opinion, the health one is pretty shitty.

This is one of the most touristic temple,
the underground station is named after the temple : Wang Tai Sin
If you put interest in it, it's a great place to get some augury :)
And there's a great garden for a little walk !

From Hong Kong with love

Hey, long time no see hu ?
I got a lot to say. I went to HK last month to see my dad with Emma.
His health is far from perfect, but it's getting better.
As you could guess, tourism was not our priority.

These are pictures from my trip to HK last year.
I mostly visit with my family, and just follow like a baby, so I can't make a proper report to help you with you future trip.
All I can say is :
-if you speak cantonese / read chinese it will be awesome for you. Indeed, if you want to get an inexpensive lunch,
it's better to eat in restaurant and stuff for local so no english ! (I hate to chose a random line when I order ;_; )
-The atmosphere is awesome, be prepared to walk a lot. Don't be scared to use public transport,
well indicated and pretty easy to understand how it works.
(yeah helpfull, I know)

I got a hard time choosing what to show,
I'll start with daylight street views :)

Bonus : gif !

Central and nearby

Cheung Chau Island

Some night light view,
now that I got a DLSR I can shoot properly at night :D

Mongkok area

From the ferry to Lamma Island ~

Few more views from Aberdeen, It looks a bit like a distopia
If you want to go there, from Central it's something like one hour by bus,
and then you have to get a ride on a boat !

On the two last pic it's the kitchen of Jumbo Kingdowm, the world's largest floating restaurant.
The rest of the restaurant was on repair.

Night Sky Shoes

My newest shoes, they look like a starry night and are loud.
I like them. I found them at a clearance, it was the last pair :)

Emma's mom got me this peony plant, I try to not kill it.
It had blossomed two weeks ago, I forgot to take a pic.
It was a pretty small flower as it was his first blossoming year,
can't wait for next year.

My student life is almost done, a month and a half till the end.
I really hope I'll quickly find a job, (so Emma and I could rent a flat together :3)
I'm scared I won't find  D : , but I know I have anxiety problem.
I wait for summer holiday so I could do personal stuff, and perhaps travel a bit.

Still have tons of things to show, but so much lazyness.

raven, part 2

So, there is the second part of the raven make up project,
more on Anais' blog as usual.

We went for a more glamourous make up with feathers and glitters,
at a super secret spot where pines grow on railway.
The light was superb this day, we feared that it won't match the atmosphere,
but it was more than ok.

my favourite pic, blurry and unplanned

Two years ago now (time flies)
I visited Prague with Coline

It was awesome, and I couldn't stop saying
how beautiful everything was.
So a very seleted bunch of pictures,
more on my tumblr if you're curious

some tips :
Going    = we took the bus, which is not comfortable at all
if possible, take a duvet with you, and better if
you have a companion to chat with. Be careful on
the arrival time, we stuck at 5am at the bus station
freezing (but we had Prague for ourselves this morning :) )

Sleeping = we stayed at the Valentina boat, on the Vatla, which
which was pretty perfect. Near the downtown, 30mn
from the further tourist part, most of time. Try to ask
for a room with view on the castle.

Eating    = we ate a lot at breakfast, so we coulg skip the lunch and have
snack at 3-4pm. The food is pretty cheap there, by far the best
restaurant we tried was : Lokal, Dlouhà 731/33, Praha 1
                  tel : 222 316 265

Visiting = we had two guides : cartoville and guide du routard.
For a short trip and not so much time to get ready cartoville is
a better option. My favourite place is Vysehrad, there is an
awesome church and the prettiest cemetery where famous czech
are buried (Muccha love), a bit far, almost one hour walk from our hotel.

The touristics part are often crowded, be brave, and wake up early.
We went there in october, it's was snowing and we weren't prepared,
take a good coat and and extra jumper, just in case.
                  Good shoes are a must!

If you have any interrogation, I'll be glad to answer ;)
now the pics!
